State House
Winner: 2002
Massachusetts Interactive Media Council Award
for Best Government Site
Moving from:
The State House offers a peak into the history
of Massachusetts' politics, culture, art and much
more. But the information about the building,
and the many artifacts in it, is difficult to
find even if you visit in person.
Moving to:
Magic Hour Communications teamed with Mass Interaction
and school children around the state to create
an online "interactive State House"
with information on the artifacts (paintings,
statues, etc), governors, and famous events, including
rich media such as QTVR panoramas of key rooms
and interactive timelines of major events. The
site rigorously conforms to accessibility standards
so people using "site reading" software
can use it, too.
Client feedback:
"It was great working with Magic Hour. Not
only did you create an attractive site that's
easy to use and accessible, but you made valuable
contributions to the site's content, as well."
