Groton School

"The Web site you developed for Groton School is terrific. It's beautiful, easy to navigate, and effectively communicates what makes us distinctive."

John Niles
Director of Admission
Groton School

Web site
Founded in 1884 by Rev. Endicott Peabody, Groton's original aims included the intellectual, moral and physical development of its students in grades seven through twelve towards preparation for both college and "the active work of life". Now a coeducational, primarily residential school of 181 girls and 181 boys in grades eight through twelve, Groton sets for its students the highest standards of academic achievement, intellectual growth, ethical awareness and behavior, sportsmanship, athletic endeavor and service to others.

Moving from:
A static first generation site that was cumbersome to manage.

Moving to:
In 1999, a new site with refined information architecure and a new look-and-feel that communicates the spirit and personality of the school. In 2002, we added our MagicWand content management system to make it easy for authorized people thoughout the school to edit the site through browser-based forms.

Continuing an eight-year relationship, which began with Magic Hour producing Groton's recruitment video [view video] in 1995, in 2003 Magic Hour provided Groton with a Web graphical redesign and upgrade to MagicWand 5.0.
