1. I am not sure if my pics are getting
to Mobot.
Try to send a picture message to your personal email account.
If you do not receive the message in your email account, check
with your wireless service provider on how to setup and use picture
messaging. If you do receive the message, then be sure you are
addressing the message you send to Mobot correctly. In some cases,
it is possible that responses to your Mobot messages are delayed
due to signal strength.
2. I didn’t get an email response
to my request.
Mobot does not always send an email, but you will always receive
a text message to your mobile phone.
3. I sent a message containing a few
pictures and did not get a response.
Currently Mobot only supports messages with a single picture as
an attachment.
4. I sent a picture of an ad from my
email account and did not get a response.
To prevent spoofing, Mobot only accepts picture messages from
camera phones.
5. The picture is fuzzy and I am not
sure if I should send it.
If you can tell what the picture is in the viewfinder of your
phone, then Mobot will be able to do the job. Either way, Mobot
will send a response to let you know if you need to do it again.
6. I chopped off most of the ad and
the picture is rotated, should I send it?
No. The Mobot system read the ads just like you do—right
side up and with most or all of the content present! We’ll
just ask you to take a better picture, so why bother?!?!
7. I sent a picture message to
the correct address but the message I received said that I was
not registered.
Double check your phone number in your MyMobot account. If this
does not match the phone number of the mobile phone you are using,
send email to support@mobot.com
clearly stating the number in your account, and the correct number
that should be there.
