April 2011 Users Conference: It was fun to meet so many folks in person whom we normally only talk to on the phone. It also was exciting to see everyone sharing ideas and inspiration for improving school websites. Special thanks to this year’s guest presenters: Stefan Anderson (Conserve School), Lisa Robinson (St. Andrew’s Episcopal School), Armela Toro Kennedy (Independent Day School), Daryn Harpaz (Search Engine Optimization), Wally Koval (Millennial Generation), Brad Walker (Light House Films), and Diana Laufenberg (Philadelphia’s Science Leadership Academy and a TED talk presenter).
New Support System and the Migration to InfoServe: Thank you for your patience and constructive feedback as we introduced our new support system and migrated many Magic Wand clients over to the InfoServe content management system. In the new year, we hope to have all clients migrated to the same system, allowing us to focus our efforts to serve you best. We’re improving the user interface and are planning a host of new features and services in 2012 that we hope you’ll enjoy.
Going Social and Mobile: With Facebook, Twitter, and other social media exploding in popularity and mobile computing taking center stage, our new Facebook Badges, Social Media Mashup Pages, Mobile Website Templates, and other innovations were right on time to support these important web trends.
Magic Hour University: This was very exciting for us to create! MHU is a robust online resource for moving your website to the next level. If you haven’t visited it yet, please do. We think you’ll be pleased with the overviews, tutorials, best practices, and many other valuable offerings.
