in time for the new school year, Providence Christian Academy's site was launched in late August. The Academy teamed up with Magic Hour
Communications in early 2011 to start the strategic planning that led to
a redesign of their site.
Key features include:

A brighter, more dynamic home page that features the school's
students and teachers, front and center -- and which provides vital
information about events, news and athletics schedules.

A non-Flash slideshow on the home page, designed to work on any
computer or mobile device, especially for the school's iPad for each
classroom program.

Strategies for improving search engine rankings.

eNewsletter strategies for parent communications and fundraising efforts.

Real-time directories

Password-protected portals that include student schedules and grades

An easy-to-update site that allows the school's own staff to upgrade content in a timely manner
The school's mission and goals inspired the strategy document, which was
closely developed with the school's staff. It included a detailed
analysis of competitor schools' web marketing efforts and outlined key
marketing messages that were woven into the new site.
This spring, before the redesign was implemented, Magic Hour designed a
new online re-enrollment module for the school to interface with their
Blackbaud Education Edge student information system. The new site will
also integrate the database into real-time directories available through
password-protected logins. |
